I am an Australian journalist and freelance travel writer living in Sydney.
I have 25 years’ experience in the field and for the past 17 of them I have specialised in travel writing – for consumer newspapers and magazines, and business travel journals and websites.

I also work as a contract writer and updater for Fodor’s Guide to Australia, which is published by the New York-based Random House. All this Australian research has lead me to some very interesting places in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and the Red Centre. My work has also appeared on Conde Nast’s online guidebook called concierge.com.

I am about to embark on an exciting project in 2008 – writing Fodor’s first guidebook on French Polynesia. It will be out at the end of the year.

This great working life has taken me on many, many adventures and while
I haven’t been everywhere (man), I’ve visited about 50 countries and hope to explore lots more in the future.
I’ve made cruise writing a speciality and am very keen to branch out more into comedy writing.

My stories are published in The Weekend Australian, The Sunday Telegraph, The Sun Herald, Cruise Passenger magazine, From the Bridge, Get up and Go, Luxury Travel, Travel & Vacations, Travel Bulletin, Travel Daily and quite a few more.
